The SBC and the Synod of Dort

I don’t debate with other Christians the way I did when I was “Cage Stage”. I believe most of what’s said, on both sides of an issue, are misrepresentations based on ignorance.

What’s sad about ignorance is that it’s unnecessary. Especially in this age where information is so readily available.

A model example of this can be found in the recent document, “A Statement of the Traditional Southern Baptist Understanding of God’s Plan of Salvation

Most Arminians today (and some who would call themselves Calvinists) are unaware of the Quinquarticular Controversy of the early 1600’s that produced the ecumenical Canons of the Syndod of Dordrecht which form the “Affirmations and Denials” of Calvinism.
